03 Jun Behind the scenes: The EXCELLENT.ORG Team – Part 1

On our Instagram account we started a social media series last year to introduce you to the team behind EXCELLENT.ORG. There we show you how we all found our way to our beautiful Hanseatic City of Hamburg and introduce individual colleagues of our great team. So that you can also take a little look behind the scenes, we would like to implement this on our blog.

In order to get a good impression in the shortest possible time, we always ask everyone in our team the same 5 questions:

1. what makes you special?
2. what do you enjoy most about your job?
3. with whom would you like to swap jobs for a day?
4. after work: What do you do when you are not in the office?
5. if you had three wishes: What would they be?

We also create a mood board for each person according to their hobbies and preferences. This reflects for example favourite colour and song as well as a travel destination and some hobbies. Feel free to browse through the respective pictures and get to know the faces behind EXCELLENT.ORG.

Start this week with Jessi, Tommy and Malin.

JESSI – graphic design

Jessi makes the start: She studied Cross-Media Production and Publishing and uses her skills and creativity as Art Director at AUSGEZEICHNET.ORG and EXCELLENT.ORG. With her designs she brings a breath of fresh air to our social media channels and provides great image content for marketing campaigns.

Jessi loves to take pictures. Not only her friends and family are in front of her lens, but especially on vacation or at festivals she always captures the most beautiful motives. Another of Jessi’s passions is pasta – in addition to the classics, she likes to try out new variations to discover the variety of tastes in the world of pasta. In addition, Jessi has taken our office dogs to her heart, so that animal offspring can be expected soon.

5 questions to Jessi:

1. what makes you special?

I think I am characterized by my calm and relaxed nature. According to my friends I am also a good listener and someone you can trust with just about anything.

2. what do you enjoy most about your job?

The most fun is being able to give my creativity free rein. The exchange between colleagues at brainstorming sessions shows again and again how different tastes are. Finding a perfect compromise here is always an exciting challenge.

3. who would you like to swap jobs with for a day?

With nobody! Because I love what I do in my job.

4. after work: What do you do when you are not in the office?

I spend a lot of time with friends and family, but I can’t resist a relaxed movie night for two every now and then.

5: If you had three wishes: What would they be?

Health, a happy family, food without consequences.

Jessi’s Mood Board:

TOMMY – CEO

Tommy is one of the two managing directors at AUSGEZEICHNET.ORG & EXCELLENT.ORG.  He is always available in a double pack with his little Mini Pug Chihuahua Lilly, who has accompanied him for over 5 years as a faithful companion.

Tommy loves fishing. As a passionate cook he likes to prepare the fish he catches – preferably zander, pike or perch – himself. When he’s not working hard at the stove, he devotes his free time to survival games and plays a round on the PC.

He also likes to end his everyday life with unplugged versions of Lady Gaga or a cosy Netflix evening with The Walking Dead.

5 questions to Tommy:

1. what makes you special?

I would say I am persistent and humorous.

2. What do you enjoy most about your job?

Being exposed to the most diverse business models on the Internet every day.

3. who would you like to swap jobs with for a day?

Parker Schnabel, the most successful gold miner in the Yukon.

4. after work: What do you do when you are not in the office?

Cuddling with my dog, cooking, other internet projects, gamble with friends.

5. if you had 3 wishes free: What would they be?

Flying into space, learning the truth about Area 51, owning a Bitcoin mine.

Tommy’s Mood Board:

MALIN – Online editor

Malin was our intern at the beginning of the year and is now responsible for our online editing. Malin is studying International Business Administration with focus on Marketing in Fulda (Hesse). At AUSGEZEICHNET.ORG & EXCELLENT.ORG she provides a lot of content, especially on the blog with her writing talent.

Malin is also frequently on a blog in her private life. Together with her sister she regularly publishes recipes and writes about the good things in life. On vacation she likes to go to cities and explore beautiful locations and cute cafés. She almost never says no to good series and coffee.

5 questions to Malin:

1. what makes you special?

I have often been told by friends that I am very empathic and can listen well. I would also describe myself as perfectionist and rather introverted.

2. what do you enjoy most about your job?

The fact that you can always come around the corner with new, creative ideas and suggestions and that these are received with gratitude and constructiveness. Good cooperation simply makes a big difference.

3. who would you like to swap jobs with for a day?

I would like to work on a film production in the field of science fiction/ fantasy, preferably in editing and processing.

4. after work: What do you do when you are not in the office?

I often work on the blog I share with my sister – taking pictures, writing texts, making posts. I like to meet up with friends and the classic Netflix evening can’t be missed from time to time.

5. if you had 3 wishes free: What would they be?

Satisfaction, health, the absence of any discrimination.
