24 Jun Behind the scenes: The EXCELLENT.ORG-Team – Part 2
Today is the day again. We would like to introduce you to another part of the team behind EXCELLENT.ORG
If you have not yet read the first part of our team presentation, here are a few brief facts:
Last year we launched a social media series on our Instagram account to show you who makes our team so EXCELLENT. There we will show you how we all found our way to our beautiful Hanseatic City of Hamburg and introduce individual colleagues* of our great team. So that you can also take a look behind the scenes on our blog, we would like to implement this here as well.
In order to get a good impression in the shortest possible time, we always ask everyone in our team the same 5 questions:
1. What makes you stand out?
2. What do you enjoy most about your job?
3. Who would you like to swap jobs with for a day?
4. After Work: What do you do when you are not in the office?
5. If you had three wishes: What would they be?
We also create a mood board for each person according to their hobbies and preferences. This reflects, for example, favourite colours and songs as well as a travel destination and some hobbies. Browse through the respective pictures and get to know the faces behind AUSGEZEICHNET.ORG and EXCELLENT.ORG.
This week we introduce you to Marilen, Henning and Rike.
MARILEN – Online Marketing
This week, Marilen is going to be the first. She studied cultural studies and business administration. At EXCELLENT.ORG she takes care of the arbitration management and gives free rein to her creativity as Online Marketing Manager.
In her spare time she likes to go to the cinema to see the latest science fiction or adventure films and she likes to discover new culinary highlights on city trips.
Five questions for Marilen:
1. What makes you stand out?
I always have a glass half full. I like to approach other people and have a healthy curiosity for new things.
2. What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like that the job is varied. At brainstorming you can develop creatively, I have a lot of fun with the great teamwork and also like to take responsibility for my own projects.
3. Who would you like to swap jobs with for a day?
With a television reporter – interview interesting people for a day and discover exciting places.
4. Afterwork: What do you do when you’re not in the office?
I like to be out with friends, be it a little bar-hopping or a nice barbecue. But I’m also available for a cozy Netflix evening on the couch – especially during our Hamburg shift weather.
5. If you had three wishes: What would they be?
Satisfaction, health and travel the world.
Marilen’s Mood Board:
HENNING – Sales & Service
Henning occupies one of the most important positions in our team. As a Sales & Service Consultant, he ensures that everything runs smoothly at EXCELLENT.ORG and is highly motivated to help our customers with words and deeds.
But as if this task was not demanding enough, Henning sacrifices his weekends for a part-time course of study in business administration & business psychology.
In his free time he likes to dive into other worlds while playing Pen & Paper with his friends. When the stories in his books are no longer enough, he also strolls with joy through medieval markets. As a former chef, he treats his colleagues to treats every now and then.
Five questions for Henning:
1. What makes you stand out?
I would say my good mood, reliability and helpfulness.
2. What do you enjoy most about your job?
The possibility to freely arrange my working day as long as it serves productivity. So it never gets boring, because I can also try new things and always have something to do.
3. Who would you like to swap jobs with for a day?
With someone who has the power to ensure that the world is inhabitable for longer and that human rights are respected.
4. Afterwork: What do you do when you are not working as a Sales & Service Consultant?
In my free time I meet with friends to play Pen & Paper or we indulge in other board games. I sacrifice another large part of my free time to my extra-occupational studies in business psychology.
5. If you had three wishes: What would they be?
- to spend time with my deceased family members
- to visit all the interesting places in the world
- to rid the world of xenophobia, envy and hate

RIKE – Internationalization (working student)
Rike is studying business administration at the University of Hamburg and is developing as a working student in internationalisation and online marketing at EXCELLENT.ORG.
If the ideas are perhaps a little contradictory, Rike is our „horse girl and adrenaline junkie“. When she and her faithful companion Grisu are not out on long rides, she goes surfing, bungee jumping or skydiving. She finds a relaxed balance with friends in the Schanze or dances at the one or other festival.
Five questions for Rike:
1. What makes you stand out?
My interest to always try new things and my positive and optimistic nature.
2. What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love the cooperation in our great team, but also the freedom to work independently on my own projects and to give my creativity free rein.
3. Who would you like to swap jobs with for a day?
With a restaurant tester – my working day might not be long enough
4. Afterwork: What do you do when you’re not in the office?
If you don’t find me in the stable with my horse, I usually enjoy my free time with friends or go for a walk with my dog. As soon as my budget allows it, I also like to go on a trip with my backpack.
5. If you had three wishes: What would they be?
Peace, health for family and friends and the opportunity to make a world tour.
Rike’s Mood Board:
We hope you enjoyed this little insight and that you were able to get to know a part of our team a little better. Since our team consists of many more great people, the next part will not be long in coming. And then it’s five questions for…
You have not yet met the first part of our team? Feel free to stop by here any time.
